What's new

The West is copying from China, China's impact on European countries

Every country believes they are the center of world, but there are still some relative majority consensus among the scholars, the human civilisation originated in the east and spreaded into Europe later on is one of them.

Thats bullshit. Show me a temple or palace in China that is older than Knossos. Go on, you may try.

fun act, you talk bullshit.

Worlds oldest stone building are all located in Europe.

France, Italy, UK, Malta, Spain.

Guess thats not on the plan of the potato school.
Sorry, I forgot your public schools in USA are at the level of Soviet schools for "special kids". Learn this - the Neolithic Revolution. It was the time when people evolved from hunters and gathering (like your native Americans) to agriculture. It was the first step to civilization.
Then first developed ancient civilizations emerged in Egypt and Sumer around 4000 BC.

Try learning Geography in those awesome Russian schools. Greece is in Europe near you not North America or the US.

I am a little bit impressed that someone in US knows the word "geography", Let me help you with other difficult things. Spread of farming from Southwest Asia to Europe, between 9600 and 4000 BCE

Modern civilization was built by the US and Western Europe. We’ve advanced more in the past 100 years, than the previous 2,000 combined.
Actually the modern civilization was built by the Arabs/Muslims, everything you see in the modern world was initiated by Muslims from hospitals to universities to scientific method, math, science and astronomy to music to liberalism to trade and culture, literature and poetry were all introduced to the West by Muslims. If it wasn't for the Islamic civilization, Europeans would still be the barbarians that they were in the middle ages.

I'm not the one arguing about ancient civilization..take that up with @Apollon

I'm the one arguing that millions of Eastern Europeans have grown up in low standards of living compared to the Western ones and it is a disgrace. This OP video is a direct consequence of it.

Here's a modern Russian supermarket..remember how it was in the 1980's?
Did it look anything like this? Do you think the Eastern Europeans fared any better?
This now looks very nice and is just how it was in the 1980's in the US..I should know because I worked in one back then. Yes, we even had UPC scanners back then too.

Meanwhile a Supermarket in the 1980's in Russia. WTF?

Supermarket scene in the US in 1983

Now you claim Greece was muslim? You claim the roman empire was muslim? 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

Stop that. The Muslim world has been around for less than 1500 years. Even the New Testament talks about Jerusalem being under Roman rule 2000 years ago. The Roman's weren't exactly a bunch of nomadic tribes back in the first Christian days either. So everything predates all the religious stuff other than those maybe wandering Jews...who never did anything either other than getting slapped around by the Egyptians.

Geez!

My my my...Soviet/Russian influence has certainly died if somebody from Slovakia (Warsaw Pact) now considers themselves Western (oops!). Soviet influence had of course kept her country backwards.

Nice read script. Trashing Samsung CPUs..hmm..

Her talking about growing up in Socialist Slovakia compared to China

Czech, Slovakia and other East European countries are significantly poorer than the US on per capita GDP basis, but you cannot say they are "backward"? In what sense?

Thank to communist regimes in the past, they are far more civilized than the US, from education, health care, civic sense, public transportation, crime rate, racism, homeless, poorly-fed people, hygiene, etc. In addition, they do not yet to buy into the so-called "multi-cultural" societies from the West.

Even the poorest Soviet bloc countries like Moldova or Uzbekistan seems to be more civilized, sustainable societies than the US. Wealthy does not equal to "civilized". Tajikistan or Kyrgyzstan are not more backward compared to Qatar or Brunei, although the latter are 50 - 100 times richer (they should thank the Soviet Union for that).

Do not say your rationals again and again that "why people still want to go to the US, not those civilized countries". The answer is simple "Since the US is rich, but not a civilized country, people want to go there because there will be more chances".

In Vietnam, northern people still want to go to the south, not vice versa (although the north is more civilized and developed) because of the same reason. Chinese people still want to go to South East Asia and not vice versa.

I'm not calling Slovakia uncivilized. Why would i say that? Why are you suddenly pulling that out of your hat?

Their lives have gotten better because they have slowly unwound themselves from being under the thumb of the Soviet Union which was stagnating them. I'm saddened that this YOUNG woman is talking about her childhood in the video I posted that could have been much better if her country was advancing at the same pace along with Western Europe...but it was behind.

A few tidbits just from the short video I posted that she made:

Modernized rail connecting countries/cities in Western Europe..yes..in her childhood Eastern Europe Slovakia..no.

Flying to destinations on planes common in Western Europe..yes..her childhood Eastern Europe Slovakia..no.

Modern personal computers in Western Europe..yes..in her childhood Eastern Europe Slovakia..no.

Her family car was an old mid 1980's Skoda. I think an Estelle.

Microwave ovens became common in the 1970s in the West.

In Vietnam, northern people still want to go to the south, not vice versa (although the north is more civilized and developed) because of the same reason. Chinese people still want to go to South East Asia and not vice versa.

That's fine with me. I don't care what you guys do.

Why you keep talking about the 1980's which was almost half a century ago? we are here talking about the present, not distant past. Your mind is forever stuck in the past, the people in your video are mostly long dead by now, wake up and welcome to 2022.
What the girl said in the OP video is largely true in every European country now, she is comparing today's Europe with China, not the one in 1980's

You are delusional if you think north Europeans have any respect for italians or greeks. infact catholic countries were far poorer than protestant ones till mid twentieth centruy.
