Pakistani Music

One of QB songs I like most ....

Not so popular but for me it's a very good song

And one my most favourite song/Nazam, this revolutionary poetry of Ahmed Faraz is actually Universal in its meaning and every aspect of human Feelings and Struggle for Freedom and Struggle against Oppression ....

For those who might not understand Urdu rough translations would be
Dreams Never Die

Dreams are not like Heart, Eyes or Breaths

Which If crushed would be scattered

And die with death of body

Dreams Never Die

Dreams are like illumination of Truth, a Call of Freedom and like Free Air

Which never be Suppressed by Might

And would never be Fade by Oppressiveness like of Hell

Flags of illuminating Truth and Call of Freedom and Free Air

Never bow down even in Slaughterhouse

Dreams are like Character [writing characters]

Dreams are like Socrates
[Referring to the act of Drinking of Poison by Greek Philosopher]

Dreams are like Mansoor
[Referring to 9th century Muslim Mystic Mansoor bin Hallaj and to his claim ''I am the (divine) Truth'', and was Hanged for his claim]

I like this song because it used to be in wedding videos that I once attended at various stages in my life particularly in childhood. The song is about sisters asking their mothers to put mehndi/hina on the hands of their brother on mehndi night. The song is sung by Sabeeha Khanum who I didn't know was good singer before seeing her name as the singer of this song.
