NAWABSHAH: President Asif Ali Zardari has said the government will continue to serve the people and complete its five-year tenure despite all attacks and attempts to corner it.

Addressing a gathering at the Zardari House here on Monday, he said every dictator had tried to harm the Pakistan People’s Party, but the country could not afford more of such misadventure.

He said the PPP never received justice, but people were always its source of strength.

He said ‘political actors’ were conspiring against the government because it was working for the welfare of the masses. The president said the nation was facing consequences of the mistakes committed by former president Farooq Leghari and former chief justice Sajjad Ali Shah.

He said that although ‘political actors’ were getting together the PPP government would complete its tenure.

He said the late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had preferred to earn a place in the history books and sacrificed his life for the cause of democracy, rather than live in palaces after making compromises. And because of that he is living in the hearts of the people.

President Zardari said the PPP was the party of the masses and its rivals were afraid that they would not be able to compete with it in the next elections if the government completed its term.

“Some elements are waging a propaganda against the government and some politicians are using public development projects to grab headlines,” he said.

He said that now even the dictator had been forced to call the late Benazir Bhutto a martyr.

The president inaugurated several projects in the town, including the Nawabshah-Sakrand dual carriageway, Qazi Ahmed-Sehwan overhead bridge, a women’s centre, Federal Lodge and a sports complex.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Communications Minister Arbab Alamgir, MNA Faryal Talpur and provincial ministers were present on the occasion.

nearly 3 years, right? I think it's a good idea for the army to wait out the two years. Though considering the **** this government has caused, I am not sure if army has the patience.

He said ‘political actors’ were conspiring against the government because it was working for the welfare of the masses

Yeah.. I am not sure if the masses are buying this crap anymore.

For the sake of democracy, I hope Kiyani puts up with this sh*t just for a few more years.

If this buffoon was taken out BB style, I really wouldn't mind it. In fact ISI should do this. I wouldn't mind if RAW-CIA-Mossad do it either.

but i personally think mushraff is better choice for Pakistan right now.

I hope that they don’t complete the remaining two years they have already damaged Pakistan a lot big time.
I hope all the current parties are arrested for committing crime against humanity and super corruption. Don’t banish them or something just get rid of them execute them because if they go then after 5 years or 10 years again they will come and they will be even more cruel then their last rule.
Pakistan Army should only work for the interest of Pakistan any body committing a serious crime, promoting corruption, destroying the internal security of Pakistan and working against the interest of Pakistan should be considered a traitor and should be given a traitors death. Other wise we will continue calling this democracy.
We have already and are seeing what current parties in Pakistan are doing and they successfully qualify for the traitor’s category.
Long live Pakistan. Pakistan Zindabad Pakistan Paindabad.
