piston engine? I don't see the cylinder heads but I don't see the intake for a turbofan either.

PW (Pratt & Whitney) engines were mean for y8-f600, dead project.

"The aircraft will be powered by 4 WJ-6C turboprops (rated @ 5,100ehp each) with JL-4 6-blade propellers made of composite materials, which improve its high temperature and high altitude performance."

Enlighten me if I'm wrong but I thought turbofans were a type of jet engine.

It essentially is based on my limited knowledge about this.

Where a turbojet uses the rotation from produced by the thrust to draw in and compress air for combustion, a turbo prop produces a lot less thrust but a lot more torque.

Things like helicopter uses them, because of their low weight to power ratio. I think turbine engines on the M1 Abrams work on the same principal.

**oops my mistake I wrote turbofan when I meant to write turbo prop. You are right turbofan is a type of jet engine.

Lol yeah you are not just going to stack them on top of each other and dump them all out at the same time.

106 is just short of one battalion.

I don't know how battalions are structured in the PLA, but here even companies usually have 4 50 man platoons.
