ECONOMY needs YEARS to improve! It is decades worth of mistakes mounted up!

As for the youth presenting Pakistan in a good image- we can do that quicker...and that in turn will bring improvement in every sector even economy!! After all the youth are the future, so they need to be told they are literally a representation of our nation!

Actually, the beginnings of the economic improvement will take shape within a year or two if this government continues to work well. Those results alone will re-energize everybody, particularly the youth. Substance will win over image anytime; image over substance never works.

Not really. Investors simply seek the best returns at the lowest risks. This evaluation is not concerned with image at all.

Investors never assume such things. They do a proper analysis of the investment environment that determines the risk:return ratios, the usual stuff being things like rule of law including contract enforcement, security of investments, continuation of policies, infrastructure, power supply, trained manpower etc.

Yes, you are correct. Pakistan needs to work on its image. Who cares about whether there is any substance to back it up or not.

It will be a very long time before investors are swayed by food streets and Ms. Zubeck's Youtube channel, that is all I will say for now. Setting foot in Pakistan is a great experience, but it is no substitute for a proper analysis. For example, what damage to Pakistan was done by being dragged to international arbitration by that Turkish power company and losing? Or Tethyan?
