Your next car could be electric—and Chinese

In China , a bus is a car, but I respect in other countries you may have a different idea, so don't say it for sure just because people in your part of the world believe something.

Stop acting dumb.

BYD to Sell Electric Car in US by 2010

BYD is finalizing plans for an all-electric battery car that would be sold in the U.S. next year, one year ahead of schedule. BYD wants to build up its brand name in the U.S. by offering one of its most advanced cars, the five-seat e6, before eventually expanding its offerings.

The e6 is a 5 seater MPV with similar styling to the Honda Odyssey with 400 km battery range. Priced at around $40,000, after US government rebate $32,500, the e6 will be in the same price bracket as the Chevy Volt. BYD hopes to enter Europe with a similar strategy in 2011 or later.

—————————-

Cars like the BYD e6 never made it to the US or Europe. BYD has delayed rolling out a consumer car for the world market year after year after year after year.

汽车 is not Car, 汽车 if you have to translate it to English, it's motor vehicle

In English, Car is a passenger vehicle, not commercial vehicle, and a Car may have had a lot of different type, at the end of the day, they are passenger vehicle.

Anywhere of the world, including China, you would have 2 different licenses for your car and your bus, I assume you have a Car license in China, can you use that license and drive a bus?

Depends upon performance (and quality).

BYD e6 barely match performance of even lowly Suzuki Mehran.

So, in China, there are no "Bus" License, if Bus are Car, you only need a car license to drive Bus?

I know my Chinese, but you obviously need to brush up your English

I m no talking about license, I m talking about cars.

I told you I was talking about cars in Chinese, which part of that you don't understand?

I m no talking about license, I m talking about cars.

I am talking about car vs bus vias definition.

if a bus is a car, without distinction, then you should have the same licensing structure

The OP report covers both private cars and buses, so the report itself puts private cars and buses under the same category, car industry includes bus production. But whatever it doesn't matter, people have different definitions for many things, it's just quite natural, don't have to impose your perspective on others.
As for the report itself, it talks about future trends, it's no right or wrong, it's perfectly Ok if you don't agree, but not need to take it out on me, I didn't write it.

I can tell you this now, it is highly unlikely the OP report cover both cars and buses.

The title of the article is "Your Next Car could be Electric and Chinese"

So, how many "Private" citizens will go buy a Bus as their next car?

On top of that, Chinese Electric car, bus or private car, aren't popular worldwide.

There are about 6000 BYD Buses in the world (Including China), there are more than 6,000 bus in the state of NSW alone, I would not say this Chinese buses are popular to begin with.

What? You didn't even read the OP post?

Actually, I would ask the same question to you. Have you read the OP post?

There are only ONE (1) sentence on the whole OP article talked about bus, and that is "Shenzhen have 100% Electric Bus", no more, the whole article is on people buying habit in different country and government subsidiary on EV. The sentence that talked about Electric Bus serve nothing but drive home the point that Shenzhen is the home of BYD.

The sentence is not talking about how Electric Bus being sold, or how this trend change to a new habit, the whole article is about EV Passenger Vehicle, and how China hope that using EV to leapfrog passenger motor vehicle brand.

So, unless people really started to buy Bus as their car, what you said does not make sense, because at no time, the OP article is talking about commercial vehicle and has compare to brand such as Tesla and Volkswagen, both of which does not make buses.

EV includes buses, if buses have nothing to do with cars, why the report says anthing about them in the article in the first place? It's ok for you to believe what you believe, but that is also true for others think otherwise.
