What's new

You won't believe how cool Ubuntu is

They say Linux is difficult to operate, its not user friendly, the way Windows is - is it right that new people (laymen) have tough time?

And after how many posts can I post a thread?

There was a time when Linux was quite tough to operate....

See its more like takes some time to adjust to Linux but google is always handy. Always have dual boot in start. and then start using linux and once you fell in love with show middle finger to windows.

how come. i love it over the internet. especially when you install lxde into it. many things come in handy.

why did u need meebo when you have inbuilt IM messenger. and i think pidgin is far better in that case. Actually when i said hacking i did not mean it in literal sense. i meant in the sense of hardcore technical guys. i like it in way i can transfer any data using my wifi network by ssh into the phone. along with that i can access my desktp from work using VNC protocols. it integrates with linux better.

lol.......... meego is still in devel repository or in dev phase there are lot of issues with. why dont you try and give lxde a try thats stable and is there in the software collection.

Oh well its not a phone for non technical guys. its market base is programmers and hardcore technies so it is bound to suck. you need to be familiar with linux enironment to unleash the beast.

you need to update it. do one thing first install something called gainroot feature

now goto terminal
and run these commands
sudo gainroot
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

and you can google down extra testing software repository. just find out way to give the paths you will have it. but never crave for extra devel softwares they can crash phone.

forget ubuntu chrome is gone give microsoft a bit of run on netbooks and low end desktops. But still I dont find any OS coming even close to Microsoft.
