New Delhi:

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today expressed grief over the death of his father, Anand Singh Bisht, this morning at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi.

In a statement, Yogi Adityanath said he would not be able to attend the last rites tomorrow because of the lockdown and his responsibilities in the fight against coronavirus. "I am very saddened to hear the news of my father's death. My father has always taught me to be faithful, hardworking and selfless. I wanted to be with him in his final moments, but could not due to my responsibility to protect Uttar Pradesh's 23 crore people. I will not be able to attend the funeral tomorrow due to the lockdown to control the spread of coronavirus. I appeal to my mother and my relatives to follow the lockdown protocol while attending the funeral. I will visit after the lockdown ends," said the Chief Minister.

Mr Bisht, 71, was admitted in hospital last month due to kidney problems. His body is being taken to his village in Pauri district of Uttarakhand.

One may have hundred complaints on both modi and yogi but one can never question their selfless behaviour ,their love for the country and their non corrupt nature...if wanted, both of them could have accumulated crores of rupees for their families but they didnt...their families still live simple middle class lives.

By this gesture the IndianMonk CM has proven himself to be the future leader of India!

The Future of India will be safe in his hands after another term of Modi!
Modi will be 73 years by 2024..he can be fit for another 10 years(until 83) or may be for another 15 years...amit shah may replace modi after 2034..amit will be 70 by then(and yogi 62)...

Someone who raised him when he was young selflessly should have earned little more respect in my opinion. If you are not sensitive about your loved ones, you cannot be sensitive about anyone else including the nation.

Do you know the meaning of the word yogi?he is a sanyasi..a monk...he is not attached to anything...he has renunciated everything...he is not bonded to mother, father or any other relatives...he is detached from all associations and bonds.

Won't be surprised if he runs for PM in 2029.

He understands politics and his targeted audience really well.
nobody can replace Modi until 2034...prakash singh badal worked as CM of punjab until 90 years of age...modi will be 90 in another 21 years...if everything goes well modi may well serve india for another 4 terms.

Oh OK! hopefully he is still attached to the voters though.

BTW, an acquaintance of mine is also called Yogi which is short for Yoginder - his first name.

Don't think so ,this term could bring constitutional changes including the number of terms one can be PM,already changes are proposed in election system.
We are moving towards defacto presidential system.

He is an ascetic ,a Sanyasi so he already abondon his family .

Only if Modi himself agrees.
I dont think so.The man is a monk also .
Most proabably he will hand over the throne to Shah and then to Yogi

He has to .
A Yogi must serve the society .There is a reason why the SP,BSP teams keeping absolute silence .

If he cant even visit his father for the last time, how is he going to care abt his dirty voters? This shows how coward and selfish these ugly stinky yogis are. He is one of the ugliest and hateful leaders of BJP and he proved he is a coward too.

He is a selfish, hateful bigot. Do you really think that he will care for his father? He junked social distancing for many silly reasons. This shouldn't have been a big deal. But the bald saffron goon is doing a Modi by trying to gain sympathy over his father's dead body...

And what do you say about workers and leaders of the Communist parties in India who don't work to accumulate money ??

Some years ago I read something about a long standing leader from one of the Communist parties who had little more than 1500 rupees to his name.

Yeah, a few Communists are poor. But such people are in every part, BJP, Congress, a lot of people sacrificed life for their party. But the leaders of those parties are mostly rich folks running the show.
