you see m you fail to understand how researches are interpreted . you ask why Iranian Scientists claim that pomegranates cure arthritis while others don't make such claim and then you conclude Iranian scientists are lying .
well let tell you something . you are wrong on many accounts .
1. there is no cure for arthritis only soothing the pain and preventing the advancement of the disease and let be honest all the drugs we have are shitty on that regard .
2. Iranian scientists never claimed that pomegranates cure arthritis , they claimed its as effective in reducing the symptoms as many other available drugs without having their side effects.
3. you can't reach to the conclusion that mr. X is lying because no other person say what he say. you want to prove him wrong you must bring several research that show what mr. X say wrong.

so unless you bring some research that contradict Iranian scientist claims about pomegrantes I suggest go and study on how you must interpret scientific researches.

Why Iranian scientists claim that pomegranates cure arthritis? No scientist of other nationalities support this claim. Why only Iranians?

Answer is obvious. Iran is the biggest or one of the biggest producer of pomegranates in the world. The Iranian clinical researchers intend to promote export of pomegranates from Iran. Hence this Iranian ploy of claiming to complement the treatment of arthritis.

This is really dirty: Giving false hopes to suffering patients just to further their greedy agenda.
