This article has nothing to do with India as a counter to China. India is psychologically obsessed with conflict with Pakistan. This is actually a problem for USA foreign policy since it leads to the chance of a nuclear exchange. Odds of India directly confronting China are low.

Chabahar isn't mentioned in this article only Iran oil purchases which the USA has dictated must stop after initially giving waivers.

Conditions come attached with USA support. India can not be non-aligned anymore. Iran and USA are directly attacking each other. India must tow the USA line vis a vis Iran or it will be tariffed and h1 visas restricted. Lol. Just letting you know how geo politics works.

Please read the above regimes that India has been added and has got legal to access to latest American and international tech. Feel free to deny it as much as you want but that doesn't change the reality a bit.

US, like any other country will look out for its interests and as long as those interests align with India, it will continue to support India there

News flash....India has already been slapped with usa tariffs....H1 visas have already been limited....no waiver on s-400 has been granted.

Let's see what comes of this Pompeo visit but he is an Iran hawk. India may have to choose between Iran and the Usa......that means Chabahar may not go anywhere.

Last I heard Huawei is still standing Bhai. We might be behind but not that behind, nobody even the US is fully independent in today's world. But don't underestimate the ability of us to survive and prosper. Tell me which country other than China able to rival US on earth? The only reason we are behind is because we try to be independent for the whole supply chain.
