Why India will have to turn its back on SAARC

sarrc is toothless organisation. unfortunately india have neighbours like pakistan bangladesh and not like japan korea vietnam. our jealous neighbours are usless for us. in couple of years india gdp growth per year will equal combined gdp of other sarrc nations.

Ohhh...I am so green with envy! :D

And red with embarrassment

Might as well replace India with China

It is not a South Asian country remember?

As for being on topic, our only deadlock is Pakistan. From trade perspective, even Bangladesh and Lankans have no issue with us. And Nepal, Afghanistan and Maldives don't have any problems at all obviously. In fact, SAARC would function effectively if it was just a trade forum.

Politically, it is a deadlock organization.

Actually, I just said that for fun

I agree, SAARC should be more focused on trade. I wouldn't say it's a complete fail organization as some members are implying.

Given NE India's resources, it has tremendous potential for trade with Bangladesh and Myanmar (another country with a lot of resources).

Trade is always a good thing.

india has so much contempt for its neighbors that it thought it could dominate SAARC and turn it into india's own agenda. But now india is being kicked out of SAARC and replaced by China.
