may be but once we develop better rela with china. we can afford china in saarc . i think china should come forward and invite india to SCO it will would be a clever move

If SAARC no longer had India, then it would be much more appealing for us to join as a full member.

Having no more political deadlocks could give SAARC a lot more potential.

i dont think so south asias politics economy geopolitic culture and many more things revolves around india.

1. SAARC is only good for political leaders and bureaucrats to hold periodic feasts and picnics at our expense delivering nothing but bombastic BS. TA & DA also. SAARC is too asymmetric in India's favor to work. India doesn't find much to gain from this. Therefore SAARC is a wet cat.

2. To make SAARC meaningful and gainful for the peoples involved, Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Burma and China must be invited in. If possible Turkey and Oman also. If India doesn't like the idea, she ought to be black-balled.

Of all the countries SL had the brightest future. If not for the self destructive politics played by your people, SL would have become another Singapore by the 80s.

Why isn't the consolidation of ties with globally relevant players like Japan,Singapore,Australia and even the United States not given due priority over a bunch of nations that only have 'to do' lists in store for us is something that has always stumped me.Has any SAARC nation ever reciprocated the trade largesse willingly squandered away by India on them?Why bring this upon ourselves if it doesn't even buy loyalty from their side.

The "foreign influence" in these nations should be deemed irrelevant for it is their cross to bear.India must learn to choose to keep her company on the basis of wisdom and not on the basis of pacifism.

sarrc is toothless organisation. unfortunately india have neighbours like pakistan bangladesh and not like japan korea vietnam. our jealous neighbours are usless for us. in couple of years india gdp growth per year will equal combined gdp of other sarrc nations.
