What's new

Why has India never questioned this?

So people want to believe all the "possible" fixing with little or no proof against India. Some also say that there's lot of money in Indian cricket but do not want to use some brain to think why fixing is required if there's a lot of money in the first place!

If there is anything anti Indian, even a slight possibility then it has to be true, but when it is against Pakistan then everything becomes conspiracy by default! Grow up kids!

Duh, Pakistanis cheat so Indians must be cheating on a larger scale; what sort of logic is that?

You mention that Indian Cricket has so much money so wheres the need for them to fix matches to win money, a couple of match winners get them tons in ad revenue never mind the BCCI paying the highest moolah out there.

We won two world cups in 4 years ffs, and some people are still trying hard to prove wee are fixers...unbelievable.:disagree:

If cheaters are winning us world cups who needs a drive against cheating.....Pakistanis can use their exceptional drive against fixers to maybe field a half-honest team sometime.

It's more personal belief and opinion than an argument that I can give in a court of law. It's unimaginable that India that controls the ICC, all the big players through IPL, controls the money, and is not involved in cheating.

There was no need to add personal insults.

India batted first and scored 296.. fixingggg.. :argh:it should have been just 200.
SA beat by losing 7 wickets.. again fixingg..:argh: it should hve been just 2-3 wickets,,,

Something thats been bugging me for months.
When the world cup was taking place India was playing South Africa and were completely thrashing them. All of a sudden a banned bookie a mr Pradeep Agarwal turned up in the changing room and the Indians lost their last 9 wickets for 25 runs subsequently losing the game.
Im utterly shocked that after being caught red handed in the changing rooms exchanging strong words with influential players the Indian authorities have swept this under the carpet. Now the whole team was involved. Why was their no enquiry and in fact a process involving sweeping these events under the carpet. I ask as a cricket supporter that it seems to my conclusions sadly the whole team was on the take. I rest my case.

Indian Cricket Team Involve in Match Fixing - YouTube

Nice, I like how express news presented this. Must note the following

1) The footage of Agarwal in the dressing room is from India Netherland match in Delhi. Express news cleverly mixed that footage with the south africa match held in nagpur. Superkaif you also got taken in by that.

2) He is not a banned person, he is a Delhi cricket association officeholder and was authorized to be there as the match was in delhi (india netherlands)

This of course does not prove that fixing does not exist, we just have to prove it exists, and doctored media reports from sensationalist (and hurt :p) media will not cut it.

As Agarwal's is accused by some indian media of being involved with bookies, his presence at the india netherland match was highlighted by indian media and icc took notice and said they will investigate. So far nothing has come out of it.

Where was ICC... sleeping in $$$ earned from Indian cricket...

@ thread starter... you can report this indecent to ICC... or to local news channels... or to the Indian news channels...

Guys... Our pakistanis friends have the habbit of making unsubstantiate allegations. Do we forget PCB chairman Ejaz butt made the the same allegation against England and later he had to chewed his words. Let them have peace of mind by playing victimhood card again.

You said it, no proof or even logic at all.

Your personal belief has no basis at all except maybe your personal bias.

Let me say this again, why try to bring India or Indians to your level rather improve your team to our level.

Don't take this as an insult but your own admission of illogicality of your argument.

Thank you for the sane response.
I find it difficult to accept that Indian players would have a need to accept bribes to lose or fix games. I always am wary of games with India and South Africa with previous history but was alarmed when hearing details regarding this game in particular.
One thing sticks to my mind about players that have in the past been roped in with bookies. Statement once released by Ajay Jadeja "once you are roped in then thats it YOU ARE IN and its next to impossible to get out as they blackmail you".
I am sorry but one thing i disagree with you - it is open knowledge that Agarwal is involved with bookies and is on 1st name terms with all senior players and is friends with the main circle. If i was a quality player in the Indian side i wouldnt take the risk.
For all those that think this was an attempt to troll - its not the case. If i wanted to id be more blunt! I love cricket and am passionate about it. Good luck on the 14th and i hope you boys whack the cocky English for 6!!

I think other cricket teams aside from pakistan and india are involved. But I think that australian and english are more subtle than pakistanis etc
