Why gandhi supported kalifah movement and jinnah didnt?

Gandhi supported Khilafat movement possibly because he wanted muslims to support congress in return. There is no other reason one will support an equally imperialist entity(based on islamism) while fighting other.

i also believe so, i have read abt khilafat movement. that was wrong decision by gandhi.
