It was a hasty response, they were panicked and dropped their bombs without proper locking the target .

I am not posting this question in IAF or PAF forums because I don't think it is a military or professional failure. It would be naive to belive IAF pilots were dumb. Even if it was a mistake, it should be the last option in the analysis, not first. The suspicion is the smart bombs served actually a strategic purpose. It could be just poking Pakistan to see their reaction. It could be something else.
Was IAF testing water? OR
Was IAF/ Indian military did not agree with political intervention or the intelligence and decided not to kill people for nothing? OR
Was the type of weapon not good enough for the task?
Was the intelligence wrong? (difficult to imagine in the time of satellites; it will amount to professional failure at one or another level)
Were the attackers not good enough? That option is actually least possible. Remember IAF bombing PA in Akhnoor (65), Longewala (71) etc.
There can be many other questions, but what is the answer? It is important that we answer the question to understand what is going on.
Five or six posts with similar option. But, if they were in hurry, or got scared and didn't lock the target properly, why all the bombs landed on the same hill.It was a hasty response, they were panicked and dropped their bombs without proper locking the target .

Does It imply that people used that hill to communicate inside India? In other words, they - in the suggested scenario- didn't miss the target.?!...?India used cell phone tracking to aquire targets. In this aquisition India used USA technology which was provided to India by a third country. This was how India aquired it's targets and we surprised them. India missed the target. Just an opinion.
Wasn't it a terrorist camp? Let's suppose there wasn't any particular target, the question remains there; did they only want to show they can hit? But, hitting jungle isn't impressive for the warning any one. Maybe they were banking on their diplomacy and international pressure??What was their target to begin with in the first place? ? ?![]()
Have I said India successful hit the target? It is something you want to imply. I am saying that cell intercepted tech could have been faulty. The actual keys to the whole issue rest in India and it is India which has to disclose how and why they failed.Does It imply that people used that hill to communicate inside India?
