Why congress is called "khangress" by many indians?

This question is escpecially directed to indian memebers of pdf as I have noticed that many of them name congress as "khangress" in a derogatory way. Can someone explain what is the reason behind this distortion of the name of congress party of india.

Because of Congress's reputation of pandering to the Muslim vote. But mostly used by the BJP crowd.

But in the grand scheme of things, I have not observed congress policies making the lives of SC/ST and Muslim people any better.

In other words, vote bank politics just to grab power.

Apart from all the points mentioned, the current Gandhi family is actually a Khan dynasty, Indira Gandhi married Feroz Khan. Due to lots of resistance and uncomfort in the Congress about this, Gandhi ji announced he would adopt Feroz as his son and thus gave his name to him, thus he is known as Feroz Gandhi. I dont know whether he actually converted or he just got his name.

"Kaangrej" is how they pronounce in most of India. besides, absolute hatred for their inefficient corrupt, rule.
