Pakistan is larger then UK, Germany, Italy combined. As regard resources it has enough agri-resource and better then any Middle Eastern country. It lacks oil/gas. However as we move forward the world is going to see new energy sources as. Thus this problem will be overcomed. But I would like to see how oily countries will survive after their oil lottery runs out ...

And don't be dumb by comparing Pakistan with highly developed countries. Pakistan is still developing country.

You should not look at Pak in isolation but see the Muslim ummah as one country . It will then be biggest and most populated. However the HDI is very low. Only turkey has a semblance of medium level of human development. The rest are all not there yet. No d you I am not saying anything about income.income is mostly living off the land. 100 years back Muslims were living off the land sustainably. Now they are not. When oil runs out, she. The rain forests in ID and MY are cleared we have in to see how they fare.china seems to be doing well in part because of a mystery around them and an appearance of strength. We don't know what is behind it. China will have internal problems that will bring it down. India will always be bogged down until they develop their people. in my opinion Europeans have been resourceful for close to a millenium.
it is a evolving thing in that you can regress.

it is a relative thing. if your neighbors are more advanced you are pretty much toast. (read India, China)

India has a potential too.

But the advantage of USA compare with China, USA is a country with people from all around the world, which USA can attract talents whatever their country origins. While China must relly on Han Chinese only.

The disadvantage, USA is probably prone to social unrest, disunity and jealousy.


But I guess with the rise of China, many regions will be united to form a kind of regional community that act like a single big country just to challenge China size.

If America pays 1 trillion, China pays 1 million, maybe an engineer will decide to work in the US rather than in China.
