Have seen lot of personal vehicles with ARMY written on them. Other sectors: Doctors put a +, Press would write PRESS, Police uses POLICE stickers. For the latter it makes sense as doc can help during emergency, Police can be sought to handle any crime, Press also can be contacted to highlight any issue.
What use is it to write ARMY on personal vehicle? Is it to intimidate the Police not to stop them? If true, should it be banned?

We all want to be somebody of belong to someplace of authority.

I have seen cars / SUVs with silly things like 'Ex MLA'

The funniest one I saw was in Lucknow , it said " Samanya Nagrik" ( Ordinary citizen).

Its freeloading benefits from toll booths and get unnecessary respect and credence from the general populations. BD military officers do something similar, they'll keep their camo hats at the front near the windshield.

there's also a lot of "advocate/lawyer" etc stickers to escape challans :D
It doesn't work .. I have one on my car ... these BC catch me every time I make way out of a wine shop.

nah it doesn't work on the toll booths, it's just to avoid simple chalans nothing more than that.

Indian drivers don't give a rat's *** what is written on a private vehicle. The toll booths are very strict, there are big boards before any toll which specifies who are exempt, they simply point to that board.

As someone already said, avoid few chalans and demand of NOC if in other states..

It is the law in India for military and police vehicles to identify themselves as such (unless operational security precludes this practice), in fact any Govt of India vehicle must.

he was talking about private vehicles, not the govt ones. It's a trick to avoid getting stopped by police at the check posts.

Really this trick is getting old. Tuhlla's don't buy it nowdays unless you got red/blue light on your vehicles
samanya nagrik:rofl::rofl::rofl:

I am gonna get that for sure:lol::lol:
exactly..............100% correct
These thulla caught me in a compromised situation once and were like vakil sahab kanoon kyon haath mein de rahe ho .. I said le tu pakad le kanoon ..
