Why are Pakistan players behaving so timid on the field?

I want to see some passion and aggression.

We are lacking street fighters in the team. Fawad Alam is a big miss, he should have been picked instead of team man. He battled to get us to Asia Cup final. This is type of mentality that we need in the team. Fighters!

We still has alot of match winning players and they have indeed the potential to win us matches

We need to win against Zimbabwe and UAE with good margin and somehow a win against Ireland.We can enter into QF replacing either WI or Ireland

Aggression comes from self belief which is instilled from strong performances and results, both of which are lacking in this current Pakistan team.There was a reason earlier Pakistani teams were aggressive because they had substance to back that aggression.
Only aggressive mentality doesn't wins you matches.You need talent and that too proven talent.

There is talent out there but approach and mindset is wrong . They still play very defensive and slow cricket like those of 10 year ago where 250 or 260 score was considered enough to let you win the game . Let look at this world cup how many teams are scoring runs above 300 and that also on australian NZ pitches..last match score was 408 highest ever made on australian soil..so now Pakistan need to be aggressive in the mid or last overs of innings to give a big total if bat first ..no use of tuk tuk and losing wickets as well lol

You dont need extra aggression, just remove that grease/butter from your hands and hold on to your catches, and dont give away wickets cheaply.
Bowling seems decent otherwise tbh. The other stuff will follow (aggression, confidence etc etc)

First of all this is the weakest team in the History of Pakistan. One cannot build a strong team overnight. This is a very young team & It will definatley take some time to settle. There r no bowlers which r upto the calibare of Waqar,Wasim or batsmen like Javed Miandad,Sohail Anwar,Zaheer Abbas.Then there r other issues like fitness of players,discipline. Some of the current players lack fitness while a few were charged for indiscipline plus the infighting between the fielding coach & the players.
