its incorrect to compare chinese - pak relations with US - israel ties
US supports israel because it thinks it balances everything in ME , keeps mullah countries in check , a strong non-muslim military country in ME would keep the mullahs grounded and plus supporting israel is good for their domestic politics as foreign policy is an important subject in US elections.
i don't see how pakistan here fits the description of what israel is for US.
i think its more similar to that of US-SAUDI ties , as its pure business , the US wants saudi purely because of its oil interests otherwise there is nothing in common , they came in found oil & made saudis rich & now to maintain good relationships US first lady has to wear a hijab on her trip to SA
, similarly chinese want pakistan because of those important trade routes which connects them to central asia , ME & europe minus that and they wouldn't care.
