Given that India has defied the UNSC resolutions with blatant ease, what can stop Modi to scrap the treaty which In India think as unfair? World Bank was the mediatior . How much The Bank can resist?

India's share is 33MAF while Pak's share is 80MAF. Maybe GoI will re-negotiate the deal to get it's fair share of water (not necessarily 50-50 but maybe 40-60) which can be used for the plains of Punjab/HP etc for irrigation purposes

The Western rivers just flow.through iok no other part of India proper but through whole of Pak
U can't just make dam where ever u want a lot of geographic and engineering issues
There r only few points in iok where India can build reservoir on Western Rivers most of em already exhausted the remainder r the toughest to make

Modern engineering and technological advancements prove there is no feat too hard to accomplish, so building dams/reservoirs in the toughest of places isn't really a big concern.

Currently, India doesn't utilize it's full share but we're in the process to do so and if the re-negotiation happens...we will figure out ways to use that water for drinking and irrigation purposes. Canals are built to various districts from the main rivers all across India for distribution of water and we can implement the same with Indus rivers as well

There is no chance of renegotiation with current conditions and u need peace of mind to work on these tough engineering projects spanning decades not when all the hell storm which made Afghanistan Hell for USA is coming yr way thanks to modi asking for it by breaking shimala and imminent Taliban USA peace deal :)

Setting aside your false bravado, how effectively is Pak using the waters that flow through your lands particularly when India isn't utilizing it's full share. There is severe water crisis in Pak not because your lands are drought prone but because of your poor utilization and this partly applies to India as well but we're better than you in this regard. The renegotiation might not necessarily happen immediately but GoI will definitely push for it down the lane, maybe sometime during the next decade

Coming to Afghanistan, you're just over estimating that things would go in your way

Agree previous gov due to local base politics put dams on back burner but now we r working several big project few already completed as as.for Indian push for renegotiation it only works in quid pro quo deary otherwise yr unilateral push can backfire in yr face as did on 27 Feb ;)

.for Afghanistan it'd not over estimation but reality deary :)
