There are so many Indian posters jibing and jeering Pakistan for watching our interests within Afghanistan.

Even our leftist media uses the same words and Indians.

Why are these so called intellectuals so ignorant of history and geography?

When Afghanistan was occupied by Russia for its "strategic depth"

Indians did not lift a little pinky finger to blame Soviets

When Iran pursues "strategic depth" in Afghanistan, well Ayatuallahs have divine rights to do

Indians and Pakistani lefties won't even say cheen! not a squeak.

When Turkey pursues "strategic depth" in Afghanistan, well they too have their right to flight 100s of miles to do so.

When India pursues "strategic depth" in Afghanistan, well this is just A-OK. This is just repeat of Mourya empire.

China, and USA all have pursued strategic depth in Afghanistan and forked it as if there was no end.

While most of them can get up, cleanup, and go home, Pakistan is stuck with "pregnant" Afghanistan.

The saddest aspect is that our leftists would have us believe that the USSR posed no threat to Pakistan whatsoever therefore Pakistan's retaliation was unjustified.

Well said.

The likes of Faiz Ahmad Faiz were card carrying communists who could see no wrong with Soviet commies.

The same class is even now happy to see Russian pursue their "strategic depth" in Afghanistan.

But heavens would fall if Pakistan even lifts a finger to protect itself from bad impacts from across the Western borders.

I blame our educated elite who possess zero amount of nationalism and Pakistaniat.

peace

Afghanistan is the blade - Pakistan is the grip - Whoever is brave or stupid enough to try to hold the blade would most surely try to capture the grip so he can have the South Asian sword. History is evident that our leftists are as ignorant if not more than the JI gang, they are as treasonist to Pakistaniat as anyone can be.

No nation has a more genuine claim over Afghanistan than Pakistan and no country has a genuine stake in Pakistan than Afghanistan. The D.Line was created to divide us but it hasn't divided our interests in both nations. I hope and pray that only patriots win at the expense of our leftist libtards and Islamofascists.

State interests triumphs beliefs. ( We knew if Pakistan will succeed then they will use Afghanistan as breeding ground for Kashmir insurgency)

Same as Pakistan doesn't do a thing when China bans ramadan fasting.

You need to go further backward to 1974, when Daud Khan came to power in Afghanistan and that was time when Pakistan pursued the policy of strategic depth in Afghanistan mainly because of Afghanistan's non acceptance of Durand Line as the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

I suggest you go back to 47-52 then when Abdul Rahman Pizzwak used to bark at Pakistan all thanks to Indian "encouragement".

Look at whole history then.

Thank you.

Afghanistan was a greater strategic Partner to India then Afghanistan back then . Our external policies are based on what is suited best for us and one thing i am really happy about it to a great extent switching between different governments and our internal political rivalry has left no color on our foreign policy .

and hence India's concept of "strategic depth" in Afghanistan.

Just come out and accept the reality please.

I already said it in my previous post . If "strategic depth" in Afghanistan is in our best interests we will pursue it with single mind and India along with Iran does support NA . There is nothing to hide or have grandiose illusions about .

bro

I think we agree on this.

Heck this is the main thrust of OP.

Hope you understand now.

Not just India, but everyone else is doing the same.

You just inherited that from British as those frontiers had a history of the great game which divided Pashtuns into Afghanistan and British India.
