So is there like a Purgatory according to Dharmic philosophy? According to Islam, when we die our souls are neither in hell or in heaven until the day of judgement day. Only Martyrs and Prophets go straight to heaven.

Yes Heaven and Hell are there.

After the end of life Atman will go to Heaven for his good Karma and Hell for bad Karma. Then Atman will be sent to earth again for new life.

Atman starts its journey with low level beings like animals and by accumulating good Karma in its past lives,Atman will be given higher level beings like Humans. We are humans means we have accumulated lot of good Karma in the past lives.

The cycle of birth, suffering and death continues until the Atman integrates into Brahman(GOD) ultimate goal called Moksha/Nirvana.
