The Political Compass - Test

My political compass came out to be:

Economic Left/Right: 0.12
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.69

I'm pretty much a centrist for my viewpoints on economic issues, but a libertarian (with tendencies towards anarchism) on social issues. What's your political compass?

Funny! I wouldn't have put myself where the graph seems to. Liberal on social issues but I would have thought that I was much more of a centrist with leanings to the right on economic/nation issues. Interesting though. Thanks Bilal.

I find this very interesting. All three of you have leanings towards leftist thought on economic issues: free market capitalism, corporate businesses etc. Is that the general trend in India as well, are the youth attracted to free market capitalism & that is seen in corporate India today? Maybe that's true considering Communism didn't fare well in India a few decades ago. I used to be a hardcore capitalist as well, but after I've been living in America, I've been seeing faultlines in the system here, & with China doing so well with socialist/communist policies & controlled/regulated market/economy, it makes for interesting assessments.

Actually, never mind. I just read the description of the chart again. What I was saying was the opposite: you guys are leaning towards communism than capitalism. My bad. Just ignore my last post.

Now explain what the hell it means???

It means you're pretty close to being 'a centrist' on both social & economic issues. On social issues, you are more libertarian than you are authoritarian, meaning you encourage civil liberties than authoritarianism. On economic issues, you have a slight tendency towards communism than capitalism.

Wow, why are all the Indian members getting results that show a tendency towards communism than capitalism on economic issues (as indicated by -ve values on "Economic Left/Right:").

For those who are confused at to what these results mean, just open this link & look at the graph carefully, & read the description:
