Gen Petraeus for sure not win this war but keep motivate others next Generals to win it someday. The biggest failure of the US in this war is to make modern and socio-political Afghanistan by using Millitray which is a bad choice to keep the ducks in line. But softly the US blame their failure of this war because of Pakistan! really or US bad policy in Afganistan.

It is clear that the US will not leave in peace since it wants to tighten the noose around China so the only option left for the regional players is to increase the cost of their stay in Afghanistan and expel them forcefully.

This article written by Stephen Walt and he is a very important player in US Civil Establishment. When an article came up from such person then it means serious issue and clearly stated if the US does not take it out the army from Afghanistan, then US future will be worse than the Soviet Union.
