If you are not aware Cavendish banana do not have seeds. They are cloned from the same tree. Cavendish banana may extinct but they there are many varieties. Heck, we have wild bananas here and even commercial local varieties. South East Asia is the origin of Banana.

Yes, some disease are spreading. Even our kinnus sometimes badly hit by various disease. I hope we can detect it early and solve the problem.
Nowadays drones are used for crop malnutrition and diseases. They use different cameras to detect unnatural colours of the plant and diagnoses its issues.
