Watch robots sorting 1,500+ books in an hour
An army of robots in a library in north China's Tianjin can sort 1,500 books in an hour, which is 10 times more efficient than manual sorting

Physical library will be history. All books will go virtual.

In a few years time, nobody will bother to go library borrow books. Not worth the money and effort spend on automation for this thing.

There goes the librarians. Another job performed by humans gone obsolete.

Though going paper less has its obvious monetary and environmental advantages. Not sure if e-books, journals, magazines etc. gives the same feeling as holding a physical copy. But maybe the future generations won't have that problem.

I thought the robot is a kind of revolutionary, never seen before.

But it turns out to be just a normal sorting robot in the werehouse.
