China is one of the best when it comes to HARD INFRASTRUCTURE (highways, airports, ports, high speed rail, bridges, electric grid, energy pipelines, broadband, 5G, etc).

China is one of the worst when it comes to SOFT INFRASTRUCTURE (Democracy, rule of law, independent judiciary, right to a lawyer, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom to protest, freedom of religion, free and open internet, etc).

Bad logic. Wost soft infrastructure can't produce and sustain best hard infrastructure.
