Hey ..awesome pictures..
BTW..one question...do you have tigers in Pakistan? If yes, then where? Can you please provide name of any tiger reserve/sanctuary/national park etc.?
We don't have tigers in Pakistan we have Snow leopard (80% of snow leopard in Pakistan top Hunza gilgit. The most grace full animal on the planet. We have tigers, Leopards, Panther, Jaguar all are in captivity.
Bahria Town (Rawalpindi) "huge amount of world's most top species of Tigers, Leopard, Panther, Lions in Bahria Town Zoo"
Ayub Park (Rawalpindi) "Royal Siberian tigers and lions"
Margazar Zoo (Islamabad)
Lohi Bher (Rawalpindi/Islamabad) "Wild Life safari ... Lions and many other animals. Recently imported more Zebra's"
Lahore Zoo (Lahore)
Lahore Safari (Lahore) "Best ever safari with huge amount of African lions, Bengal tigers, Indian tigers etc"
Bahawalpur Wildlife (Bahawalpur) "House of Lions, Tigers and many other animals" (breeding place of lions and tigris)
Karachi Zoo (Karachi)
Bahria Town Zoo (Lahore)
I don't know much about Pakistan zoo and wildlife park names but there are many parks in which huge amount of animals in captivity.
PS: Half of lions, Tigers, Cheetah's, Leopard owned by public (individual property). Many people in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi especially in Sindh (Wadeera's and in Punjab Choudriz and Maliks) owned these animals in personal zoo (houses and farm houses). In which top species of tigers, lions and many other animals.
I have 5 friends who owned big cats. Three of them owned lions and cheetah in Karachi and 2 in Lahore. Recently four Lions imported by some Political Party Member from South Africa. But person don’t have NCO from the govt so that those 4 lions send to Karachi (Sindh) Wild Life authority
Huge amount of lions, tigers in Jhelum, Gujrat and other cities of sindh and punjab. You can check youtube videos of Gujjjar of Punjab (5 - 8 lions) and many other poeple like them owned animals around Pakistan. We also have most grace full animal on the planet called "SNOW LEOPARD" most beautiful predator. BBC documentary available of that snow leopard google it (BBC - Beyond the myth Snow leopard) - Pakistan document available on the youtube.
I have taken all those pictures in Bahria Town Phase 4 and Phase 8 Zoo, Ayub Park in Rawalpindi and Margazar Zoo Islamabad. Tomorrow have a plan of Wild life Park Lohi Bher ... just to take snaps of Wild lion
There are less thn 40,000 Lions and just few of Snow leopards and 30,000 tigers left in the world. Massive killing of these predators by human from 2 decades (1800-1900). Today 1000 of organizations include BBC, Animal planet, National Geographic many other channels and many wild life organizations spending $$ just to safe/secure big cats around the world. Unfortunate still massive killing is going on.
Tigers once roamed from the Caucasus Mountains on the border of Asia and Europe to the far east of Russia and southeastern Asia. Traditionally there was thought to be 8 tiger subspecies or races;
01. Caspian Tiger
02. Bengal Tiger
03. Indochinese Tiger
04. Southchina Tiger
05. Siberian Tiger
06. Sumatran Tiger
07. Bali Tiger
08. Java Tiger
The Bali and Java tigers are extinct, the Caspian Tiger was believed to be extinct but scientists now consider the Siberian and Caspian tigers the same species so technically the Caspian survives.
Thanks,
