Indonesia should heavily invest in counter measures of tsunami . (mangroves, wave breaker walls ,rocks etc )

Well with a coastal lenght of over 54.000 km, it would take us another tens of years to accomplish that. Anyway, it was extraordinary natural disaster, those wave breakers wont do much. The place that just got hit by the latest tsunami actually had them. This one of them, placed on Carita Beach.

you have to take countermeasures at any cost .

Early warning system and emergency public gathering points built on high ground can be a solution but need strong support from government funding for building and maintenance.

Current and previous tsunami strike with-out early warning resulting in high number of victims.
