Vietnam’s $5 Billion Plan to Neutralize Trump’s Tariff Threats

A great warrior nation!

Come to ur senses, thy r not giving a enemy nation thier top gadget a nation which humiliated them in the past wake up

Bt still, usa and China both r bigger powers then Vietnam and there won't much for u to bagain
I am Chinese. Vietnam has less and less bargaining chip in SCS. The Vietnam Communist Party is very rational and pragmatic, they knew it very well.

The only power which can help Vietnam confront China is US. But US is losing military advantage in SCS day by day, and US economy can NOT sustain long term confrontation with China in SCS. It's damn too close to China and damn too far away from US.

But still, I would appreciate Vietnam if they play well.

Chinese have more people, more money, more weapons, more everything. However I don’t think they will push us to a physical confrontation or a war. They are smart enough not to push us to a corner there is for us no way to escape. Starting a war or in the future will be the end of peace for many generations.

We have the tendency if coming to a war, we will drag all other military powers, the entire region into abyss.

My advice to com. Trong. USA has a very long record of f***ing up every "economic partner" it had after 7-10 years long "honeymoon."

The list is following:
  • All and every major European state. French, Germans, Dutch, and, yes, US f***ed up British hardest of them all.
  • Malaysia — was the first Asian US manufacturing partner
  • Taiwan — ask uncle Jiang what US did to them in seventies
  • Japan — Plaza accords, and they were the one and only genuine US military ally in the region
  • South Korea — also a military ally. They completely neutered presence of Korean firms in US outside of technology sector with a string of length lawsuits
  • Thailand — not so conclusive, but I feel they are next
  • China — no explanations needed
  • Your country next
The moment Vietnam join the ranks of upstanding economic powers, US will not hesitate to pull out the same trick on you as they did on us, and every other country in the list. Whatever Trong will agree with US now is only a temporary ceasefire, and it will not change the long term predicament unless Vietnam will make a determination to stand up to US.

I myself is greatly appalled by Xi Jinping's lack of backbone with Trump. The current logic of Beijing is that we take a short term retreat from the battlefield, for a long term win. I give no credit to this idea. There is no way US will give China a special treatment, unlike to all previous "partners" they had, including ones who were their military allies.

So, play hardball with them; You will be better off.

Yeah.just remind u abit abt history, when Mongol completely occupied CN in 12th century, then VN was next. But what happend next ?? VN defeated Mongol and then annexed Champa to become bigger, and then VN annexed Khmer lands next .

Same thing is happening now, if US want to make more trouble wt VN, then she must defeat CN first. But when CN collapse, then No one will protect VN's neighbours, and we can annex our neighbours ( or force them to unify wt VN)wt help from best bro Russia to get bigger and stronger ( we had 10 year conflict wt Thai and we know her army is terrible, completely useless ).

Thats why, all VN is waiting to see the day US defeat CN and pick VN as the next target

US is just like Mongol, nothing special..and VN will continue to get bigger and stronger ( let me remind u that, VN's original land was just in the North only )
