(VOV) -Leading low-cost airline, VietJet Air has announced it is launching a new air route from Vietnam to Vladivostok in Russia.

The agreement was reached at the 17th session of the Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee for Economic, Commercial, Scientific, and Technological Cooperation in Vladivostok city on September 6.

The new air route aims to offer better transport services for visitors from Vietnam to Russia and facilitate economic and investment activities between the two countries.

The airline will connect the air route to Southeast Asian countries such as Cambodia, Thailand, and Singapore with one stop in Vietnam. The number of Russian tourists to Vietnam has increased over the past few years thanks to the country’s beautiful beaches with reasonable prices of tours.

Last year, Vietnam welcomed 250,000 Russian visitors, a year-on-year rise of 71%.

Russians seem to enjoy hot sun and sand

In Hainan island, Russian is the largest foreign group

I guess it's because Russia is too cold
