USA: "Israeli, Ukrainian struggles the same.. so give me arms!" Poroshenko tells U.S. Congress

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko gave a speech to the U.S. Congress in Washington, DC on Thursday, saying Ukraine's struggle is the same as Israel's and the two countries have a "right to defend themselves."

During his speech he asked the USA to recognise Ukraine as a special ally, alluding to the Russian Aggression Prevention Bill which includes a clause to grant Ukraine 'major non-NATO ally' status. He also said Ukraine was at the centre of a new attempt to divide the world, similar to the Cold War.

The Ukrainian President is currently on a tour of North America and visited Canada on Wednesday. He is attempting to garner financial and military support for his government.

This is all political theater. Theyve been giving arms the entire time. Arms mercenaries and training. Not to mention the specialits they have on the ground.
