Hmmm....Where does Pakistan figure in all this? It seems they have been left out to dry! And if Pakistan is not co-opted in any talks between the US of A, Afghanistan and the Taliban, then we can expect a limited intensity conflict to continue even after 2014.

However, it would be interesting to see what would happen if Pakistan is kept out of any understanding/pact between the Taliban/Afghans/U.S. If a government inimical to Pakistan's interests is installed in Kabul, what are the options for Pakistan? Will it nurture more militant groups to try and overthrow the ruling dispensation? After all, the stakes are pretty high where Pakistan is concerned - from security on its Western borders to access to energy from the CIS Republics via Afghanistan.

Interesting to say the least. This one's turning out to be a potboiler that could make Tom Clancy's thrillers pretty insipid in comparison!!

It matters more than some narrow minded people can imagine kiddo Just wait and watch and continue to sign agreements with the mayor of Kabul . It wont be worth the paper thats its written on after 2014
