US should help Pak conventionally and economically as if disparity grows bet Pak/India, the war will go nuclear quickly.

Let's consider the following for starters:

1. USA buys more Pakistani exports, specially textiles, than any other country, including Iron Brother.
2. USA has provided billions of dollars in direct and indirect support to many sectors of the Pakistani economy, including the military.
3. The disparity that is growing between India and Pakistan is mainly economic, and USA can do little to prevent that. It is up to Pakistan itself to get its economy into better shape. Heck, even Bangladesh is doing a better job.
4. Crying nuclear wolf is a failed strategy now. There will be no war over Kashmir, nuclear or otherwise.

There is more, but you get the gist.

Also, you have to accept that US deals Pak differently in normal circumstances, but totally opposite when there is a nuclear war threat (short lived mediator).

Pakistan has overplayed its hand disastrously already. Now, crying nuclear wolf will simply not work anymore, and neither will asking for parity with India. That ship has sailed away.

Then they go on ships back to US. Pakistan is not taking anything I believe.

It's high time I take a trip to Darra Adam Khel and see what war booty the brothers from the Pashtun belt are offering.

The equipment coming into Chaman, Barras and Darras woke up Pakistan Army as to what goodies they can get and how small goddies can make a significant difference. Otherwise the uncles were sleeping and using WW2 equipment.

Oh really? You really should consider all consumers here, and not just the one you are familiar with. There is a large market for quality and luxury goods as well, in case you were not aware. There are stores other than Walmart, you know.



Back on topic, much of the stuff left behind, or at least the portion that is still serviceable, will end up elsewhere, given the Afghan propensity for "trade".
