"Pentagon spokesman Col Dave Lapan said if Pakistan takes back military trainers and issues visas to other staff, aid could be restored.

With tensions between the two countries already high, the Obama administration said Sunday it was suspending $800 million in aid to Pakistan, signaling a tougher stance toward what it considers a critical but sometimes unreliable ally.

The US suspended military aid to Pakistan following Islamabad’s request for a “significant cutback” of American military trainers on its soil.

The suspended aid, which is about one-third of the USD 2 billion in annual American security assistance to Pakistan, includes about USD 300 million to reimburse Pakistan for some of the costs of deploying more than 100,000 soldiers along the Afghan border to combat terrorism.

A report earlier said ISI chief arrived in the US for meetings with officials."

Now this makes trainers really suspicious and even more unacceptable. US is begging for Pakistan to get trained and we will also grant you militarily? Look at the strange side that US is actually insisting to get served and get rewarded at the same time.

SAM :moil:

Obvious aint it?

They just somehow want Pakistan to get those 'trainers' who may also be CIA agents, updating the US Embassy with the establishments and stuff of Military. Why should Pakistan issue visas and allow the agents into its soil? If they are willing to give the $800Mn for them, imagine the gain US can get out of them. Kiyani and Pasha turned out to be really smart (Unexpectedly from Kiyani).

Plus, on the other hand, they somehow have fear of something in Pakistan's Military or Pakistan itself.
If not, they wouldn't bother sending trainers and give $800Mn. Just keep the money and satisfy your needs.

Are they, anyhow, a part or supporter of BLA? Cause Israeli agencies are known to be supporting them.

Edit: US military personnel are suspected to create agents within the Army as well as other citizens.
That may include force, bribe and brainwashing.

why the sake of hell they wanna trained us by force ? whats there benefit to train our forces ? they all are special forces and CIA men which live here with cover of trainees . 30% of attacks can reduce to send them back 30% when we send hell to TTP .and remain 30% when we can control RAW and other secret services .10% buy our political parties when we control them.

these trainees are real network of CIA they damage Pakistan more then any other .i will be so mad if pasha agree with USA on this issue.

i dont understand that either, and i mean our military is one of the most trained military in the world, and as far WoT goes, no other country has more experience than Pakistan.

Hmm, US did this because of trainers? Well we now know which particular branch of US state these trainers work for. The CIA.

There is another aspect of the trainers that is being missed over here----out of sight---out of mind----the u s doesnot want to go through that again----as long they have their trainers here----they will have some kind of relation with the def forces---specifically with those who cannot go abroad for training.

It will indeed give the u s the oppurtunity to keep an eye on what is happening in pakistan----so it is not bad all the way----

I am sorry but I can also not relate to the trainer thing. If Pakistan does not have the trainer they are losing on training, why is US concerned? Also, why so concerned that they will hold the aid. There is something else that we do not know.

Are we sure this is there stand or is this a speculation?
