Both India and Pakistan received nuclear tech from Canada. India, of course, received assistance from Soviet Union as well.

Since India extracted plutonium from the Canadian-supplied CIRUS reactor – which had been provided on the condition that it should serve only peaceful purposes – for the Pokhran test, in May 1976 Canada decided to terminate its nuclear assistance to New Delhi. Eager to seize the opportunity to fill the vacuum, the Kremlin quickly offered to provide the nuclear fuel and equipment which was no longer available from Canadian sources. This June 1976 offer was made in spite of the fact that during the negotiations, Soviet and Indian views on the NPT continued to diverge.​

After Canada pulled out, USSR quickly moved to fill the gap without India even signing the NPT.

What part you dont get out of it. Trump tried to pull Erdogan into a deal for a swap so that Erdogan gets bad press at home for bypassing judiciary...Erdogan mentions that Brunson wouldnt be returned till the court decides his fate but i see you misquoting him..

Then he put sanctions on two ministers who didnt have any business/property in US which was purely symbolic..
10 days later he introduced Tariffs.The role of tariffs was way exaggerated..Lira was already performing poorly for months.It fell 27% of the value that year till the time sanctions were imposed .Lira fell largely due to in-house state of economy.. Sanctions were just a spoiler on top however Trump was successful in pulling off an impression that his action was the reason Erdogan gave in to have the courts release Brunson.

The court convicted him of terror-related charges and sentenced him to three years earlier but was released because of the time he had already been detained.Additional charges of espionage were dropped.The question is if Trump was so concerned bout the pastor why did he let him rot in prison for 2 years...was he waiting for Turkish economy to worsen as well as get near a court hearing date so he could do the sanctions gimmick??
