US court drops charges against Osama | Dawn

Contrary to your beliefs, every court has an obligation to give a chance to the defendent to present his case. In fact, how can you prosecute a guy who is not even in your custody?

Who knows, OBL may have hired an attorney to represent him.

I wonder why US refused the suggestion of trying OBL at some neutral country, just after 9/11 happened. US refused the suggestion since they were in mood of war, rather then going to court and present evidence.

Ok, lets suppose there were technical issues in going to court in the US, but in 10 years since 9/11, what kind of evidences has the US presented to the world to suggest that OBL was behind it.

If US can get evidence about the Iraqi WMDs, then why can't it simply present similar evidence to us, suggesting 9/11 was done by OBL.

Hell US not to this day probed the unusual stock trading done just before 9/11, especially since it involved unusual stock put options on the 2 airlines which were involved in the hijacking.

I do hope you have seen the movie Body of Lies, its very simple and easy to stage false flag operations, especially for the US, since they have so much technology in the world.

All, i am trying to say, even when he was alive and now dead, atleast show some evidence.

US after the May 2 raid gave the world 4 videos of OBL, even in those videos we can see lot of difference in the faces of the man being shown as OBL.

Those 19 hijackers did have a bounty on their heads the way OBL had, so your logic isn't very convincing. kayani, Pasha and Mr. Ten Percent are clearly incompetent if they did not know that OBL had been hiding there of five years.

They had a bounty on their heads ??? What are you talking about ??

They had bounties on their heads and still they were in the US and getting trained to fly aircrafts and yet no one knew about them ?

You seriously need to either get some sleep or ............................................. as you are not being anything close to be convincing compared to me.

Can you kindly provide us the proof ??

Don't tell us that since he was living in Pakistan, thus he was being protected.

As with that argument we can say, since the 19 hijackers were in US for a long time and got their pilot training in US, thus US was behind the 9/11.

There's a way to look at it. These 19 people did something which is too unrealistic and unimaginable. No one could think something like that. While in OBL case, it was a clear possibility that if he is alive then he could be in Pakistan. Pakistan was one of the possible location of his presence. He lived near military academy for 5 years and noone knew?

If noone knew, then this a failure on Pakistan's part. As simple as that.

NEW YORK: A US federal judge has formally dismissed a series of indictments against Osama bin Laden that had remained pending against him, at the request of the US district attorney’s office which formally confirmed Bin Laden’s capture and killing.

The charges were originally brought against Al Qaeda leader more than a decade ago.

Judge Lewis J. Kaplan of United States District Court on Friday ordered the charges dismissed at the request of Preet Bahara, the attorney for the Southern District of New York, who signed the request on Thursday. The original indictment, returned secretly in 1998, was sought at a time when the authorities were considering a plan to capture Bin Laden and bring him to Manhattan for trial.

The charges dismissed include conspiracy to kill Americans, murder and charges related to the 1998 bombings of two American embassies in East Africa, which killed 224 people.

The government also filed a declaration by George Z. Toscas, deputy assistant attorney general for counter-terrorism and counter-espionage in the national security division of the Justice Department, describing its proof that Bin Laden was dead.

They included a comparison of DNA samples from Bin Laden’s body with a profile based on samples collected from members of his family, which provided a genetic match, Mr Toscas wrote. “The possibility of a mistaken identification is approximately one in 11.8 quadrillion,” he noted.

Drama? What the.. ?? What next?? The truth?? OBL didnt host 9/11??

too late,US govt killed him twice :cheesy:

I am not saying what those 19 men did was good thing, it was something which everyone should regret, condemn and simple as that inhuman.

And as for OBL, there are lot of factors to see for the failure on part of intel agencies.

As said before, US was not even sure itself 100% that OBL was there, and as I had mentioned many times and saying again, ISI had its sight on the house and CIA was notified too, may be ISI looked at the mansion before OBL moved in there. The courier phone number was provided by ISI after listening to one of his calls and CIA was informed.

So, its not disputed that Pak intel agencies failed at something, but again it was due to them that the CIA got the couriers numbers, his name from the AQ operators captured by ISI and given to CIA.

Had ISI been protecting him, neither would have the number been given to them, nor ISI would have captured AQ men and handed over to CIA. That is also one simple fact.

I missed the 'not' after 'did', sorry!

Correct. ISI knew about him staying there. And of course, that's the reason CIA was able to locate him. So this itself is a proof that OBL WAS THERE AND HE REALLY WAS KILLED THERE. I don't understand why people keep on denying this and follow so many conspiracy theories!! Some people don't want to accept the ISI failure and at the same time don't even accept that OBL was there! You have to pick one!

The US has conducted an extrajudicial murder against Osama Bin Laden.

I believe the Nobel Peace Prize should go to the persecuted leader of Wahabbi Islam, Mr. Bin Laden.

Unlike Liu Xiaobo, he was never convicted in a court of law of any crimes.

Liu was lawfully sentenced to 11 years, while Mr. Bin Laden was ruthlessly murdered by the Wall Street regime for nothing more than making videos.

There is no evidence that Bin Laden killed even a single person personally.

I believe the whole world should condemn the US regime for its illegal actions and the Nobel Peace Prize should be posthumorously given to Mr Bin Laden.

Is that the prevalent mood in China? OBL with his videos gave excuses to the US to invade Afghanistan, OBL should have thought about that.

and UN had dropped charges against TALIBAN :azn:

so where are the apologists who were poking their dirty nose and saying there are NO good or bad taliban
