US company withdraws complaint accusing Chinese companies of stealing trade secrets

Indeed, LOL. Why break something if it works?

Forcing foreign enterprises into partnership with domestic counterparts have been proven to be a practical remedy to China's late industrialization.

At least, China has not resorted to abject protectionism like the UK did in the late 19th century and the US did throughout the 20th century.

Nobody points a gun at them to set up partnership. They love it long time.

Indeed, the old man is putting the blame on China which is totally absurd. If foreign companies are eager to operate in China that's their own choice. The construction works, it's a win-win situation for both. Always pointing fingers at China for stealing. :disagree: As a matter of fact the very first industrial espionage were conducted by Westerners when they wanted to find out the secrets of Chinese craftsmanship as those losers couldn't replicate the perfection of Chinese art works. Face it, it would be extremely unwise for US companies to sue Chinese steel companies when there's zero proof. Besides China holds a f*cking big economic stick so if US want a trade war, bring it on.

When China forces foreign companies into partnerships with Chinese companies, theft of every kind is inevitable.

This have been discuss before and many of your fellow Chinese approved.
They are thousands of bogus report by sourgraped western journalism using shabby report and manipulated data to satisfy China haters like you. Who is the fellow Chinese that approved such report? Another pathetic attempt to plant false lies.

That's the whole idea. The only difference is how you want to call it. Some called it a "win-win situation", while some called it "stealing". Here's the thing, when you employ workers in another country, those workers are sure to pick up and learn how the employers want them to do their works. Things like this happens all the time, even within the US. What do you think would happen if a Google worker quit his job and go work with Yahoo? He sure to bring with him a wealth of knowledge on how Google does things inside, and sure to implement them in his new workplace. Why do you think China wants Boeing to set up factories there? Of course, it is to train those inexperienced Chinese workers so that they can manufacture products, in this case planes, up to world class standard. And why do you think Boeing wants to set up factories in China? $$$$

Does that mean no theft occurred ?

I am in the semicon manufacturing industry, specifically NAND. I was not in the section where competitors' products are analyzed, but I can tell you this -- it is easier to prove in US courts that someone copied our products than to try the same in foreign courts, like China's or Japan's.

It is not for lack of evidence. When we bought their products, dissect them, and found, via the SEM, that their design for a particular product line is %99.999 the same as ours, there is no doubt that reverse engineering and mass copying took place.
Yes yes, China supercomputer is also probably steal from American technology. They managed to go back to future to look at how fast the American supercomputer is before come back to replicate one. :enjoy:

Funny, it's until
Now US still can't make a supercomputer as fast as the Chinese one. If you don't have the actual working one then how do you copy? Some haters just cannot accept the advancement and innovation of Chinese. :enjoy:

It's hard to swallow that fact i know  , it was bound to happen anyway. In many ways China caught up in many areas which is very commendable considering the fact China lacked behind couple of decades ago. Just as space technology we are now being viewed as a rising space power. Strangely no Western media claiming China hacking or stealing those technologies so we can can construct our own space station :what: , heck even no Yankees or Indians ever said we stole NASA tech.

"Stealing teach" has become a loser's argument. It is scientifically associated with lots of pathological side-effects especially on unfortunate senile people - I do not, of course, mean any specific personality.

You are correct there.

Can't ? The word "can't" means inability.

That is hilarious considering the US is among the world's top supercomputer makers. Your China is a late comer and you think the US "can't" make one faster ? The fact that you use the word "can't" tells me you know less than squat about computers in general, let alone supercomputers in particular.

He was right US can't (inability) build a fastest supercomputer to top China on the list of the supercomputer ranking.

Vietnamese and Indian can't swallow the fact China can achieved key technology break through on par with the US since 20 yrs ago China still in a group of country considered a poor and backward same as Vietnam and India, now China take leap and bound over Vietnam and India to be on parity with the west in key technology breakthrough. That a bitter pill for them to swallow.

The fact that supercomputers from different countries routinely passed each other means that it is only a matter of time that the US will regain our top position, as we have in the past, and lost it in the past. Unless you can definitively technically show how the US can no longer build supercomputers, you and your Chinese pals looks stupid.

But at this moment China top of the list, till US can build one to topple China on the list, he have all the right to brag about China achievement.

You said 'inability'. Show everyone how technically the US cannot build supercomputers that can surpass China's.

For the last 4 yrs US try it best to win back the top spot still China retain the top spot in the supercomputer listing.
