US Citizenry attitude towards muslims

As an Hindu Indian American I'm embarrassed by how the republican party and its extreme right project Muslims in the US. I just want you guys to know that as a majority, overwhelmingly, folks in the US have no issues with Muslims.

What plays out here is not disdain for the religion but rather fear. Imagine if you are flying out of Pakistan and you see a Taliban guy in full traditional gear on the flight. It's just human nature to be fearful even if you don't speak up. I guess what I'm trying to say is that its unfortunate that a few bad religious fanatics may have created such an atmosphere but that Muslims not fall for the meme that Muslims are disliked in the US. truth could not be further from it. I know I stand up with many in the US against these smaller fractions in the republican party and it's base when they come out against Islam and Muslims. For if I keep silent and others keep silent, who will they target next?

Not only muslims but some sikhs and hindus have also been attacked after 9/11 in the west its just racism against anyone who fits the profile i.e being brown and having some facial hair.

Yeah my flat mate was a Indian and the poot girl was working as a House Officer in the Local hospital in a predominatly "WHITE" area of ENGLAND.

One day some local bigots thought she was a "****" and assualted her very badly, she suffered a broken jaw and a femoral fracture. Seriously how pathetic are these bigots.

I am just gald 4 more months and i am back where i belong, good old PAKISTAN.

I was only here for my post grade, hate the place... xD

Plus my country needs me, postive human capital and all that. Inshallah if people keep working to build Pakistan, some day when i have kids they won't need to immigrate to get a quality education.

Well i wish you the best of luck for the future and your plans in Pakistan i have lots of family in midlands in england i go see them from time to time but the things some of my cousins get up to is really shocking stuff i can see your point about not bringing up kids in england they have no respect some of them from what i have witnessed.
