They are quite the asset for heavy lifting right up to the front lines and much more besides. A true workhorse. Pakistan would do well to add such capabilities if they can ever be made possible to acquire.

If Foreign Troops are in , put them on civilian plane and ship them out on civilian plan and transport the Weapon (Chinook) on a Ship back to their destination

we were denied since 80s by Americans.
this is according to Army aviation helicopter pilot I know for a long time.

fearing Chinooks will give great mobility to our forces in case of war against India. same reason globe master or C5 were not sold.

truth or reason maybe different but belief is that we couldn't buy them despite the need.

Bro there are no more troops in Pakistan. 26 thousand foreigners along with 1460 Afghan nationals were transited through Islamabad and the airport handled 450 flights for the operation. Apart from Islamabad Airport no other airport or city was used at the end.

These are Chinook helicopters heading to masroor airbase I think from where they will be transported out via cargo plane. Most of their equipment went through Pakistan during the entire withdrawal both by sea and air. These choppers probably flew in directly from Afghanistan.



We kept our promise, provided them every help we could to evacuate them and denied them any form of assistance that would have facilitated them to extend their stay. After the bomb attack there was a real chance they could have overstayed, you can imagine the unpredictable consequences of that and the fallout of that on Pakistan.

We took care of our own interest, didn't do that for money or Afia Siddiqui or for any other reason but for our own self.

Dr. Aafia Siddiqui can be it’s whole own thread. Forget about getting her released unless Pakistan releases Shakil Afridi. The Americans feel passionately about Shakil Afridi as Pakistanis do about Aafia Siddiqui. Otherwise, this issue is going no where.
