You had to be surprised and alarmed by the fact that it is Hungary became the leader of the informal anti-liberal wing in Europe. The same Hungary, which is more then other countries opposed to external ruling of the USSR. The same Hungary, whose soldiers fought against the Soviet Union in World War II with the tenacity and skill, second only to the German soldiers. The same Hungary that won the liberation revolution of 1848, but returned to Habsburgs forced by Russian Army. The same Hungary, which was the only country which has taken a weapon to rebel against Moscow over the 1945-1991 period.I notice you are conspicuously silent on the words of PM Orban, whom you have given great praise to in this thread, who not only does not even hint at any mythical American "occupation" of Europe you keep referring to, but who gives great praise to both the NATO alliance that Hungary is a part of as well as praise he gives to his Hungarian countrymen for voting to join the Alliance. Like I said, vostok, your views just crack me up. (It would personaly, just exhaust me to believe that the world was so engineered by American power and conspiracy and to have to constantly invent how that is even possible!). I think you will find the world is much more clear and less constant work, once you realize that conventional wisdom is conventional wisdom for a reason, i.e., the most economical answer is usually the right one about 95%+ of the time.IOW, America does not "occupy" Europe. That is a mythical and silly notion that Mr. Orban's words alone dismiss. By contrast, the Soviet Union most certainly did occupy Europe and sent tanks to crush any challenge of that harsh rule.
Those values, which were looking for countries of Eastern Europe - they are no longer exist in Western Europe. No strong family, no patriotism for their country, no strong Christian church. Everything is uncertain, there is nothing left unshakable, for the sake of what it worth to die. West - now is not that West, which was coveted in the 20 ct.
No one has yet fighting against the American occupiers with arms - neither Germany nor Japan, nor all the other states that you occupied. But this moment will come. You will return to your far-away island. Maybe it would be better for you.
