Actually ISPR was crap till recently .. And they didn't help the movie makers rather they paid the army for the assets used in "Waar".... And the only ISPR video worth mentioning ever was Defenders whih recently got some defence video award in Italy..

Actually I loved the videos released during swat operation.

Operation 021 did not perform well in Pakistan,but may do better abroad.
Problem is they have started recording Pakistani movies in English,instead of urdu . That does not appeal home crowd.

It's good but I think some misconceptions. I've always thought of RAW as depending upon 'systems' and 'organization' more than extreme individuals to get the job done- it's not as romantic as a loose assassin but produces more certain results. Indian establishment is a true 'beureaucracy' in that sense. But I also believe that Pakistanis have given up all hope of ever building a dam...even in movies the guys who are about to succeed are killed off . The women definitely make it worth watching . I'm amazed at the amount of English in this. I thought a bigger dose of Urdu might be there for the domestic audience. Understandably the Chinese guy gets saved- no chance of an American I guess.

It was more of a classic action+spy movie. Khuda kay laye was better in terms of story, acting and direction.

don't get me wrong, I'm not looking at 'realism' here. As long as it has stokes your film industry and pushed it forward it's fine. I mean Lollywood really needed a kick in its rear and this definitely set in motion a greater interest in Pak film industry so it's fine.

I fail to understand this. Urdu is the language of the masses. Surely from a business pov you wanna target the masses ? This recent obsession with English in the movie industry has really left me baffled especially when you have actors trying to pull of extremely fake English accents.

Well I finally watched Waar yesterday. Without Shaan the movie would have been pointless.
