Sorry but i don't vote on the basis of my ethnic group...

All achievements are good for travel & tourism mag, but For me any improvement in the living standard of a common man is real achievement to be proud off

Tone down will ya...

Then by that logic you should remain at provincial level not federal
Provinces are allotted their funds after the 18th amendment... no need to cry foul

Agreed but for a thousand thankless people there should be a few thankful, it irks me when a few "mohajirs" here and there pop and start abusing the gov...

Not crying foul but I quoted what you said and you were proud of their success in Punjab then they are a successful party/ govt there...Punjab is not Pakistan...without the other provinces Punjab is Punjab not Pakistan...

Turkish company was hired in Rawalpindi and Lahore to collect home waste garbage at the door steps.

Even the garbage can’t be collected by this government!
The company might be Turkish but its employees are all Pakistani, only the trucks are Turkish. I've seen them work , it's not much but at least some of the roads are free of donkey crap and the smell of garbage for a few hours.

It doesn't really matter how hard the workers work, there is just no way a couple of garbage trucks can make a huge difference in a city like Lahore. Makes a few jobs, some sanitation - i'd say it's a good step if it wasn't for how expensive the whole thing is. A local initiative, using local trucks and hiring local people would have been more cost-effective.

But not as fancy, I suppose. Patwaris :tsk:.

Nooras are a disease to Punjab, they are a real mafia.

They have grabbed almost any line of business you can think of - Poultry, Dairy, Scrap, Textile, Sugar Mills ...you name it.

Earlier there were only Bari Tind and Choti Tind, but now they have many off springs who also want to have their own share of business, mostly grabbing what has so far been escaped from the radars of Ganja brothers.

Hence you see Hamza Shabaz, Salman Shabaz and God knows who else occupying all of those big businesses by hook and crook.

They use all sort of tactics, police and patwaris being their top weapon to thrash every one down and stay on the top.

We know it bro FunkyGen, we live there and we know how it works...

yar they grabbed my family's land which was reclaimed only after SOB mushy came in ... but let me say it outright, pakistan means more to me than any of my family members or my parents or my cast... i dont take any pride in being called a punjabi rather i'd call myself a pakistani....
now coming to this thread, i agree with some of your points but one i have to say is that there is an air of optimism now, optimism that thing can be done and achieved.... and for that i am thankful to the government...
what made my write my posts was that a few butt hurt mohajirs arrive on every thread, pollute it while totally neglecting their own faults... i have to thank SS for the fact that the province is safe for the most part and flourishing...
change will be brought but brought slowly but first lets appreciate the good, no?

I do appreciate your thoughts about keeping Pakistan first, in fact almost every sane Pakistani does it - well in his/her own ways.

Yes there is some optimism due to declining terrorism and industry flourishing somewhat, but believe me this has more to do with the resilience of people of Pakistan than with this stupid govt. If it were up to these rulers, they would have grabbed every last Rupee from Pakistan, sold it to some higher bidder and migrated to some where outside Pakistan.

Perhaps you compare this govt with the previous one, which was arguably the most incompetent in the history of Pakistan, therefore you feel a bit better. But the level of corruption has gone so high in this tenure that this makes Zardari and co. look like school kids.

Good governance by SS is a myth, he has destroyed the system in Punjab completely. Instead of building institutes, he has centralized all powers to himself, now you even perhaps need his personal approval for trivial things such as an electricity meter. He has kept more than 10-15 ministries to himself, what kind of governance is that?

The little betterment that we see is not due to Nooras but due to real powers sitting behind who feel we have had enough.

Sane Pakistani_ I hope you do know the no. of traitors we've produced, also how the poeple of our country would sell themselves for a petty visa, for me Patriotic Pakistanis are a delicacy...

Some optimism_ I dunno man the things i know Pakistan was gonna be a defaulter, it brings tears to my eyes even thinking about it... we had no international worth... many many things went wrong... it's a shame you cannot appreciate what we've achieved in such a short time...

People of Pakistan_ You should also keep in mind these include people who call them "mohajirs"... to them my mother nation is a "sauteli" not a saggi, again patriots are a delicacy...

high in this tenure_ I have more faith in transparency international than ur words... they're a reputed firm, you're a nobody
Corruption declined in Pakistan: Transparency International report

powers to himself_ Trust me i know well he's not a smart thinker but even after all his showbazi he's coming to his senses and lately i'm seeing him surrounded by "some" highly educated men... i have faith in this man

electricity meter_ Please tell me you're joking, there are better ways to insult a man than this. What is the worth of a meter, the guys owns large businesses for mucks sake... idiotic point...

Nooras_ Whatever makes you feel happy... the way punjab gov is doing it's work i'm gonna vote for these people (former pti)

I respect your opinion bro.

Lets agree to disagree about what are the real reasons how Pakistan is finally coming out of this abyss.
This is most definitely not due to Nooras.
