You dont need be a manufacturing giant to have a thriving economy. When your economy matures you outsource most of the manufacturing and go into other sectors. Its still a world leader in AI , Health , Education , Tech etc

Nobody is arguing about manufacturing or economic maturity, those are given.

Uk isnt leading in any sector, least of all mentioned above,
