Workers in the United Arab Emirates’ information technology sector are amongst the best paid in the world, a new study has found.
According to the report, released by recruitment tendering platform myhiringclub.com, professionals working in IT in Gulf state rank 17th based on an average wage of AED300,000 ($81,500) a year, or AED25,000 ($6,790) a month.
The report however neglects to take into account local taxation. Comparing just the UAE, UK and US, based on their respective tax systems, the average UAE wage remains at $81,500, while the UK wage slips to $83,725, while the average US wage falls to $95,459
