This US/Israeli-Iran & its allies --- severe military feud across the region is imaginary. I've yet to see you guys engage in any serious confrontation. US has only used serious firepower against Sunni Muslims, whether in state form or against non-state actors. Iran and allies same case, they are undergoing a campaign against Sunni Muslims(bad, normal or good). So things like this are meant to give legitimacy to these Shia militant groups. Now they will display this news everywhere to pretend like there is an invisible underground war between them and Israel. You help each other with this rhetoric. And reality on ground is you wage war against Sunni Muslims.

This what is observed in the last 10 years. Sanctions due to nuclear program is another story. Now lets give you guys benefit of doubt and assume it is an serious feud, then its 99% rhetoric and only 1% of the time do we see any real actions on the ground.

You're not gonna attack the people who gave you power in Iraq and worked with you to counter ISIS insurgency. Also American soldiers like other soldiers around the world work with orders. They don't have permission to engage Iran and its allies because US government sees them as very useful asset against Sunni Arabs. Behind the scenes they are happy with Iran role in Arab world. It also helps them fool Arabs into believing they want to cooperate with them against Iran only if they accept Israel's occupation.

And you guys are rational people in reality who don't think like Jihadist groups. Only on this forum you guys are challenging the US and Israel. On the ground you are rational and going about your interests. US sees you as more rational party and US government thinks it can influence Iranian youth in future.
