The United States has warned that Iran could create a new malign force akin to the Islamic State militant group (ISIS) and said Saudi Arabia was an ideal partner to help contain the revolutionary Shiite Muslim power in the Middle East.

James Jeffrey, the State Department's special representative to Syria, told the Sixth Annual Defense One Summit Thursday that direct military action would not be enough to defeat Iran and its expanding network of armed allies, many of which were comprised of Shiite Muslim militias. Like the Pentagon and its own local partners, these fighters have fought jihadi groups like ISIS in Iraq and Syria, but they oppose U.S. influence there.

The diplomat argued that in such countries "it requires stability ops to break Iran's meddling influence,” Defense One reported. Jeffrey cautioned that Iran "will create a new Daesh if we don't get at the underlying problem," referring to an Arabic acronym for ISIS.

In tackling Iran, he said, "We have no better partner" than Saudi Arabia. He added, "We couldn't be doing what we're doing in the region without them."

"U.S. Warns Iran Will Create New ISIS, Says ‘We Have No Better Partner’ than Saudi Arabia to Fight It". Bravo to USA and Saudi brotherhood.

So more wars in the Middle East with more American meddling. It would be nice if there was an actual ummah to safeguard peace in the reason instead of the sectarianism we have now.

Totally agree.

Shia Iran created Sunni ISIS and is fighting it.

Once Shia Iran is done Sunni ISIS then it will create another Sunni ISIS.

And the best way to deal with that Sunni ISIS is Sunni Saudi.

Totally makes sense.

otally makes sense.
What might make even better sense is if USA, Saudia, UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Israel got together in a coalition of the willing and destroyed Shia Iran once for all. All are united in their hatred of Iran. This way they get to sort it out.

As King of Saudia said "cut the head off the snake".

Problem might be who would they consider a threat next? Hope it's not us.

In plain English:
Iran can not be defeated by direct military action.
Anyone opposes U.S. influence in the region is terrorist ..as we heard it before "you're either with us, or against us" ... if you are not with us we are gonna destroy your country and bring democracy at any cost.
Saudis must buy more weapons,
Without Saudis we couldn't ruin the region in way we're doing it right now ...

Shia Iran fights Sunni ISIS funded by Sunni Saudi, and the US is trying to convince people Iran will create another Sunni ISIS so the US must align with Sunni Saudi

Logic 101

It's not Shie Sunni fight, many Sunni have fought isis .
