Gen 6 warplanes of America, Japan and other countries (different models) will not have vertical fins if or when they become operational.

They may, or may not... there is no requirement to lose the fin. There are some advantages, and some disadvantages. The fin is there for an aerodynamic reason.

I'm commenting purely on the aesthetics.

I was part of the 37th TFTS back when they flew T-37's rather than T-6 trainers. It's a great outfit with a long & proud history.
