RIYADH — Two cadets of Royal Saudi Land Forces passed out from the Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) early this month.

The two Saudis were among a total of 217 male and 37 female cadets who passed out through an auspicious ceremony at the academy at

Bhatiary in Chittagong district.

Fuwad Mohammed Al-Asiri and Abdul Malek Bin Hassan Mohammad Al-Shehri were graduated on successful completion of three years of military training.

Chief of Royal Saudi Land Forces and Intelligence (RSLF) Maj. Gen. Mohammad Almogadi along with three other officials from RSLF witnessed the passing out parade. Parents and other relatives of two Saudi cadets also attended.

Maj. Gen. Saeed Abdul Rahman Aboassaf, commandant, King Abdul Aziz Military Academy (KAMA), was among the other dignitaries who witnessed the parade.

President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid reviewed the smartly turned out contingent and took salute of the colorful parade as the chief guest. He also distributed the awards among the cadets for their outstanding performance.

Battalion Senior Under Officer A.K.M Injamamul Haque was awarded with the most prestigious “Sword of Honor” for the all-round performance. Company Senior Under Officer Ibnee Ezaz Hasan received the Chief of Army Staff (CAS) Gold Medal for the best performance in military subjects.

The cadets formally took the oath and were adorned with the badges of rank by the honorable chief guests and their respective guardians.

Chief of Army Staff Bangladesh Army Gen. Aziz Ahmed received the chief guest at the BMA parade ground.

The spectacular and colorful parade was witnessed by the chief of Naval Staff Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed, the chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mashiuzzaman Serniabat, Members of the Parliament, diplomats, high ranking military and civilian officials, local elites and guardians of the newly commissioned officers. — SG
